Project Overview

ANWETECH supplied an NH3 ammonia gas detection system for TP Marcelo Company Incorporated in the Philippines, a cold storage and ice manufacturing plant where ammonia is commonly used in the refrigeration process.

In cold storage and ice production facilities, NH3 ammonia is an efficient industrial refrigerant, but it also requires strict leakage monitoring. If ammonia gas leaks from refrigeration compressors, valves, pipelines, evaporators, or machine rooms, it may create safety risks for workers, equipment, and daily plant operation.

To improve site safety, ANWETECH provided 2 gas control panels and 6 NH3 gas detectors for continuous ammonia gas monitoring. The system is designed to detect ammonia leakage at critical points and provide alarm signals before the gas concentration reaches a dangerous level.

System Deployment

The NH3 gas detectors were installed at key risk areas of the cold storage and ice manufacturing plant, including:

Each detector continuously monitors the NH3 concentration in the surrounding environment and transmits the signal to the gas control panel. When the ammonia concentration reaches the preset alarm level, the system can provide alarm indication and output signals for emergency response.

This configuration helps the facility build a more reliable gas safety monitoring system for daily refrigeration operation.

Product Features

The ANWETECH NH3 gas detector used in this project is an industrial fixed gas detector suitable for continuous gas leakage monitoring.

Main features include:

The detector can be connected to gas control panels, PLC systems, ventilation systems, sounder beacon alarms, or other safety control equipment according to project requirements.

Engineering Installation Considerations

For NH3 ammonia gas detection, detector location is very important.

Ammonia is lighter than air, so the detector should normally be installed above the possible leakage source or in an upper area where ammonia gas may accumulate. The sensor head should face downward to ensure stable gas sampling and better long-term protection.

During installation, engineers should consider:

A correct installation position is essential for early ammonia leakage detection.

Project Value

This project helps TP Marcelo Company Incorporated improve ammonia leakage monitoring in its cold storage and ice manufacturing facility.

The ANWETECH NH3 gas detection system provides the customer with:

Industrial-grade gas
